Just thought i would share this response with the rest of you!

To meet the regulatory requirement for ethanol in gasoline we additize virtually all of our regular (87 octane) gasoline in your area with 10% ethanol. Because the mid-grade (89 octane) is made by blending 50% premium (91 octane) and 50% regular (87 octane), it will contain approximately 5% ethanol. We do not add ethanol to the premium gasoline but it may contain trace ethanol due to distribution.

Thank-you for your interest in our products!

I NEVER deal PetroCanada. Ever notice when gas prices raise, THEY are the first to raise it? Atleast here in BC they are.

Nope never noticed that around here.... when one gas station starts to rape you, you might as well bend over cause they jack their prices up on all of them at the same time around here... its like a race to see who can get their prices up the fastest.

Im not worried about a few cents here and there, Petro-Canada is convinently on my way out of town heading home and it would cost me more to drive around searching to save a few cents, then just fill up. TgC_emoticon142.gif

Whether gas is $1/litre or $5/litre... your still going to need to fill up TgC_emoticon142.gif (until we get some sort of reliable economical alternative)

Thanks for the info. Do you run premium BAdams?
Dsurion
I always run premium gas in all powersports toys. It is better for your (2stroke) engine to have an octane of 92-95. The closer you can keep it to that, the longer life you will get out of the engine. Chevron in BC has a 95 grade of gas, that is the best gas ever... too bad I live in MB.

I think it is Husky in Brandon near the Transcanada, they sell 93 octane for the same rate as 91 octane everywhere else.

Ive never used it though, as i question quality because of the price difference TgC_emoticon142.gif.

enquiring minds want to know;

Is your use of "premium " grade based on something specific,
or just a gut feeling,
[owners manual recomendations]
Considering the ethanol blend of fuels in Manitoba,
do you [anyone] use gas line anti freeze ?
[a little, a lot, or not at all]

My owners manual tells me to use gas line antifreeze at temps below -10 (which is almost always). I usually split a small bottle per tank when I fill up with my riding buddy.

I have no idea if this is needed with the blended gas or not but I am now going to look into it.

Do not use gas line antifreeze in ethanol based. Ethanol doesnt freeze and thats probably among the many reasons why its used.

If your not running blended fuels, then the usual precautions should be taken (gas line antifreeze)
