We are thinking of renting one of these chalets from Christmas to NY. Anyone know what they are like?

Thanks

bed's weren't the most comfortable but they weren't bad. We had one of the newer chalets, 4 twin beds on the first floor with kitchen and bath and then upstairs there were 2 fold out couches.

5 of us stayed there last February (and 6 a few years ago, but we had 3 smaller chalets then). Planned just overnite, but it rained and we ended up staying 3 nites. Only missed one day of sledding due to rain. Tremendous trails in the area -- worth spending a few days (or longer). I'd recommend these lodges. Good food next door at their restaurant. Lise and Vincent are very friendly & helpful. You can also eat at the ski hill, but it's better at their store/restaurant. They have gas. Below the ski hill parking lot there's also gas, and it was cheaper there. It snow's almost every day, and the groomers are out regularly.

When did Vincent open up a restaraunt? Is it at the store?

Yes, it's at the store, and can take a few dozen people. Not sure when it opened. They sell wine, etc. at the store, but the restaurant wasn't licensed in Feb. 08 (but the wine drinkers in our group managed with plastic glasses). Restaurant was open for breakfast (7am), all day, and supper (closed late).
