I'd like to check it out. Last winter was my first winter in AK and I didn't make it. I've been told it is a rather interesting event. I am not a big partier but I do enjoy Sledding events. Sounds like this is one of the top winter fesitvals around. So, if all goes well I'll be there.

I'm not a partier either, I go for the riding. The race is just a good excuse to tell the boss you need to leave town for a few days.

On the topic of arctic man...

Does anyone have a map of the area? I have looked at topo maps and google earth but I have a really hard time seeing where everything is.. I was looking for a map with some well known areas marked off. I've only been there twice so I really only know how to get from the parking lot to the tit kinda, and it would be nice to know a little more about it before i venture into the area again. I wouldnt go there with someone as unexperienced as me, nor would I go with as small group (at least 6 of us) but it would be cool to get an idea of where I am when I'm there.
