Need to add another 2 cents to this....
Never had to deal with the previous ownership 'cause I've never had a busted Polaris in Rangeley... but over Snodeo weekend an intake boot tore on the Kid's 03 ZX 500...
So, Saturday morning I made a run over to Oquossoc Marine... now, people have complained about service with the previous ownership... but, with the new management over there I sure can't complain... even though they ended up not being able to help me out they sure turned the joint upside down trying... the computer said they had a pair of the boots... and the two guys in the parts dept near destroyed the place trying to find 'em... to no avail, but they sure gave it their best shot... no complaints here.
Thanks again for giving it your best try guys.
..... and now for the "rest of the story".....
No answer on the phone down at Frechette's in Dixfield... so it was MacGyver time... had some cloth tape in the toolbox... grabbed a tube of silicone at the local auto parts joint... saturated the tape with it as I wrapped it around and around the boot... once I figured I had enough to hold off the leak for the weekend, I slopped the rest of about a half tube around the rest of the boot... presto... 1800 RPM at idle the rest of the weekend & the kid was back to digging as many trenches on the sides of trails as he could find places to do it... one of which his mother fell into.

for MacGuyver!!!
I ran over to Oquossoc Marine, Saturday night. My better half broke one of my ski handles on her maiden voyage. They didn't have the silver ones in stock. However, they were VERY helpful. They said if I ended up buying another color handle, I could pull the sled inside, use their tools and replace the handle. I thought that was pretty decent of 'em.
On the way back to the Farmhouse Inn (where we were staying), I dropped in on Dix, BroadwayBabe and their son. Was a pleasure to meet y'all!
