Anyone up to it. I say lets all make a group ride.
TK HO
sounds good to me, ill trailer up a ways as long as someone's got a starting point for me smile.gif
i used to hunt in denmark. you talkin just a day ride or something that lasts a couple days?
extreme films
Just a one day ride. What part of denmark did you hunt in? I assume you knew Ron Snow that owned Snows Gunshop in west denmark, he passed away a couple months ago. Very sad, I used to go to his shop about 4 times a week.

I'd say the starting point where we could all meet is in Brownfield, Maine at the G&S Gas Station ( formely known as grants ), and then ride to Fryeburg part way down the rails, up to frost mountain, hit up Route 7 I believe, down dump road into fryeburg, then grab the its trail into denmark, then go up into Denmark Village and up into bridgton from there, and then get gas at a gas station there, then ride down to Shawnee Peak and take Moose Pond back across ( I cant go to fast back across as I only have a 440 ), and then just take the Fuiness trail back to g&s.

HI there im up for a ride out in that area I ride naples bridgton casco raymond. in that genral area and a little beyond for the occasional buffalo burger at the former trail hangout used to be tuts off from its 89 in waterford. I have about 6 other doo riders or more that would love togo also .I deffinatly have to gas often enough with my 583 motor and my newest addition mach 1 670 which will be a pig on gas I believe.lets keep in touch and plan this out I think a big group ride would be a great thing.
extreme films
Yeah, since my 440 will be revving out keeping up, I will also not be to good on gas. My friend also has a Formula Z 670, 98 though. Not everyone will be riding a doo though, I have a friend coming with a ProX 700 and my dad with a 212hp RX-1.

Keep me posted.. Sounds good. I have a few other fellow DooTalkers who would probably be interested as long as we are not already up in Greenville riding..

I ride with all sorts of hoodlams from yamaha to artic cat and even the occasional polaris to mix it up a bit.My personal preference I ride doos 94 formua z 583 daughter rides 95 stx 583 and picked up the 95 mach 1 670 on ebay for 200.00 of course upgrades to newer skids and stuff. have to get your dad out on the smooth lake to see what a 212hp as### sled does.

He had the speedo to 140 and the belt exploded. Haha.
TK HO
as a matter of fact i hunted down the road from snow's. i've been in there a couple times, he was a nice guy. he had a gun there i wanted, but couldn't afford. even let me use his range to check my buddies gun for nothing. i only hunted there a few years, saw a few but nothing really. was always too wet to get out to the ridge unless you had a boat.

your 440 will do fine on the straights. i only do 80-90 anyway, especially across water, usually not even that fast. i'll be gearing down at some point before the season hopefully. hopefully i'll have a shot at keeping up with that 440 out of the hole! probably not, but a guy can dream! i'm definately down for a ride. even if i miss the "official" date i'll make it up for a consolation ride. much easier for me to take a day than a whole week or weekend.
extreme films
Just wondering, what gun was it that you wanted. SKS? M4?
TK HO
huh?
TK HO
no, something a little more useful.

the trails around the lakes area arent to bad .I guess with the fuel cost I prob wont be going up to greenville as much or at all. will do alot more ride from my yard or haul a little ways.there is quite a few spots that love to have you park in there lot and ride out fron there lamprons in bridgton is a hot spot to ride out of being rite of from its 89? I think thats the number me and a bud did midweek ride the trails were great not much traffic to run into.
extreme films
I think its ITS 81, but it may be 89. If you go to G&S, theres free parking as well.
BAR IT!
Sounds like a fun ride. If my schedule works out, I'd be interested in that ride.

Hope this winter was like last winter. Last winter; I could leave my house, and be sitting on Rangeley Lake in about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
extreme films
I agree. I put on over 1600 miles last season, and the most Ive had in one season other than that was about 850 miles.
TK HO
i hit about 1200 miles this season, thanks to BDD for supplying his guide skills for over 1/3 of those miles!
extreme films
I think we should pick a day right after a BIG storm, so we can all hit up some serious powder out on the ponds.

I finished out with just over 3000 miles. I had hoped for more but it was more than the year before, as long as the # keeps going up instead of down.

Anyone else wanna go? Were 5-6 months out from the ride!
Dix
The Kid & I would likely be in if we're home that day.

Heck, we may ride out from the house and meetup with you... we're in W.Poland between Thompson & Tripp.

I did 3200 last season... and she & the Kid both went over the 1K mark.

Looks like a 2 1/2 hour ride down to here, so, if we head out at noon, you should be able to get there on time if you head out before 9:30.

Yeah, sounds good. Dont think we'll make it out to conway, cause' not everyone on the ride will have NH registration. But I will of course ( for my first time ), as I used to have to go up to the East Conway border, and turn back around. sad.gif

Last year it was $69 for me (NH out of state) and needed to join a club( I join where I ride mostly (club fees $20-25). Expect registrations to increase do to cost for operations and to support grooming I have a NH reg and Maine Reg each year. For those days when we go over the border. I should know shortly exactly what the registrations will be for the 2008-2009 season from the NH clubs. Will post up as soon as I know.

so do you register in three states do live in conn. and ride in maine and nh. only that could get really costly . that would be great if you would post it .I think maine will have to go up along with everything else.
extreme films
Im registering in Maine, NH, and VT this year, as sometime in early february, I will be taking a week off of school to ride from my house in Maine, all the way to Vermont with the family.
waterx

I register the sled in NH and ME. We go over the border a lot on the ME trails and cut back over to the
NH trails. Vermont will see how the trails are and might pick up a 3 days pass if we ride over to Vermont
from the Pittsburg / Colebrook area. I expect the new membership cost and registrations to be posted shortly. Clubs are starting to advertise for memberships.

The time is near. You guys still ready. I know, you guys are all gonna beat me in the trails and stuff, darn POLARIS. You know a brand is bad when someone owns it and says its crap.
Dix
I'm in if I'm around when this thing goes off.
MXZ00
I am still in as long as its not on a Saturday I am working.
JBAustin10
id be interested in doing that if i could get one of my buddies to come, possibly ride up from auburn, dix you say you might make the riding to the meet point from poland?
Dix
Yea... that's a possibility... ITS-89 south is a quick hop across Thompson... if it's froze over when they plan the ride... if you wanted you could unload at my place.
fee05
I'd be down for this, my sled is parked in bridgton, so lemme know the plans and I will do what I can to catch up with you guys.
extreme films
Looks like its going to be sometime early February as the trails blow right now, and for a big group ride ( right now where looking at 15+ machines going ), were going to want the trails groomed and packed, and we'll try to plan a time after a major storm. Looks like it will be possibly February 7th that we will be out on the trails for the group ride if you guys are up to it.
fee05
Heading to Pittsburg NH for the weekend on the 7th, have a good time anyway!
