STOLEN in the late evening of Feb. 13/08, some "despicables" stole my son's beautiful, like new 1997 Ski-Doo MXZ 440F with only 1,300 miles and new Karavan one place trailer from my driveway. The sled and trailer wheels were locked together with a 1/2 in diameter steel security cable and the trailer coupler had a special locking mechanism inserted. The crooks came with a heavy truck and somehow dragged the whole unit down my crescent. The sled and trailer were stolen in St. James area in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The sled serial no. is 117201801 and license plate no. is 696I5. The Karavan trailer has serial no. 7F199343 and license plate no. E498E. A reward is offered for information that results in the return of either of these items. Please keep an eye open for someone suddenly showing up with a near new 1997 Ski-Doo 440F and or trailer! My son is heartbroken after saving for years for this sled!!

I bet I know how they towed it away. A buddy of mine said a few sleds went missing where he's from, what they did was put a smaller ball on the hitch, and just drop the trailer on, it won't be secure but at least you could tow it.
I hope you find it soon!.

The cops recovered my trailer a few weeks ago but not the sled. The trailer "re=appeared" across the street from me in the back lane! Very suspicious.
