Guys
Took a shot and went up to St. J. Friday the 18th. To my surprise the conditions were rated A+++
We stayed at the Comfort Inn in St. J, conditions of the feeder trail from the hotel to the Rail Bed were ok with a few patches that were worn down, but from the rail bed on through Danville, Walden, Burke and West Burke - conditions were A+
Kudo's to the groomers - trailers were great. There were a few open water patches, very small and only 3 of them during our 200 + mile trip.
Conditions are only to get better with more snow today and colder temps..
Anyways - if your heading up - expect good conditions in this area. I did hear that Cabot and towns south conditions were marginal.
Only bad part of the trip was the ride up. Appearently a snow plow truck lost it's scrapper bar at the botton of the plow and yes I hit it along with eight or ten other cars and it ended up hitting my new Mission enclosed trailer and put a big dinger/gash in the diamond plate - oh well - guess that's why we have insurance!!
Ride safe and stay to the right!!
