I had a much better weekend than Charlie's friend, thats for sure. The trails were really good around the resevoir and Pittsfield trails were real good. Kind of surprised at how few sleds I saw but maybe because of xmas. 12 towards Barnard was a bit rough and some water bars were hairy but all in all pretty darn good for week one. Tremendous snow on top of Bloodroot and Carmel. Came very close to clipping a moose on 74 Saturday night. Had to bail off the trail at about 30 mph. Pricker patch got the better of me. The moose was six foot tall mid- back. I would not have done well if he decided to stay put. He stuck by close enough to hear me cursing trying to get the sled back on the trail.No more than two miles from where that guys sled got schnibbed.
