Planning a one night trip from Jackman, ME. Which of these place would be a better ride or destination? Are these good day trips from Jackman? Or should we go further?

From J-town you will get to either in a hurry if you go straight there. Thetford is a cool place to see with all of the mountainous piles every where. St. Georges is nice too but it is a much larger town and would probably qualify as a small city. Great riding around there too. Lac Etchemin is another nice area too.

I've gone from St George that past few years, its real easy jumping off point. I back packed from there two years ago, we hit Lac Etchmin and Montmangy from there. We just did out and backs from there last year.

I know there have been theft issues in the Thetford Mines areas in the past, but not sure how it was last year

j town to saint nicolas / levis its just on the south side of quebec city , 20$ cab and you are down town quebec city!!! HOTEL BERNIERES 418-831-3119 has a full restaurant cheap breakfest and and a full bar w/ safe cage for the sleds and or trucks

thetford mines not a long ride but hotel - motel balmoral 418-335-9138 no need to go any other place than the bar at " nomoral" the bar is the best we have found in thetford mines! plus a full restaurant and indoor storage for the sleds
ps this place gets CRAZY fast 5 am 6 am nights could and do show up every year a couple times!!!

I've stayed at Hotel Berniers too...I agree, great hotel, good steak too. It's an easy drive at least from NH, but we go through Vt and then up...all highway! They have monitored parking for your truck/trailer too, think you just have to ask about it.

Trails across the border were unreal - well worth the pass this year

We did Sawyerville to Thetford Mines, and then up to St Fortunat last weekend. It was very cool...!
