Lemme try this again.
Find a spot where they will fit good, just to get a feel for them.

Mine ended up being 3" from the inside of the tunnel.

Start with the left side protector, there is not much you can damage on the top side of the bulkhead(Just be careful of the jackshaft, don`t hit it too hard).
I started with the lower hole of the protector drilled the hole put in the rivet then to the middle hole, the the top hole, pretty straightforward.

When you do the right side.YOU MUST USE CAUTION!!!!!! Place the protector where you want it.
Mark the bottom hole.
Try to judge where the drill will come through.Should come through and go right into your fuel line.
I took a small stiff piece of plastic and stuffed it between the bulkhead and fuel line,as precaution, the put the drill on lowest clutch setting and did short quick bursts til I was through. Then put in the rivet.

The other 2 hole were pretty simple, again be careful of the jackshaft, and the top one will come up under your oil tank, just go slow.

I hope this helps you guys that are going to do this.I know I have searched and searched for something like this.

Could one of the mods put it in the How To area? I will be needing this twice. It is very helpful. Thanks bassaction.

what is the reason for this?
I am currently putting in a 1.5 inch lugged track with 1.575 studs, i thought i just needed the top and front exchanger protectors. Is this needed as well?

This is mostly for 03 Revs. The space between the bulkhead and the track is smaller due to a different chaincase.04 and up Revs had a different chaincase that dropped the drive axle lower.

I posted the same question under the title " tunnel Protectors" and i was told that ONLY the 2003 rev's were the ones that required the front tunnel protectors due to the reason mentioned in the last post. I have a 04 MXZ X 600sdi.
