Would like more information. Is there an event going on up there? Or just first snow?

There is usually snow there the third week of november.. I will keep you posted. Usually stay at passion québec. Nice condo accomadations and affordable.

I would say that snow at that time is starting to look really good.

I called Wednesday (nov 7)and there was just enough snow to hide the grass . You may call to Le Valinouet for a weather report in 10-14 days. It`s more fun with 3-4 feet of powder snow...

We've planned a trip the second week of January, but might sneak another one in before then. Last year there wasn't much until then, but I heard there was 15" or so already in the area?

Yeah,

I want to go now !!!!

Last year was the first year since I have been riding up on Mt.valin that there was sopposly not much snow in november (some reports say). We ended up going in january and there was 3-4 feet then. So, not sure if there was good snow in november or not.

Not really sure were to get true info.

There really is no true weather info. to see of Mt. valin

Anyway, weather looks pretty good this year. 4 of us going up !!!

Not sure were we are staying yet this year but, we WILL BE at J.R's every night !!!!!!

well,

I`m in chicoutimi at the holiday inn. O.K snow, not alot of grooming. BIG bumps which leaves me to why i'm here and not snowmobiling today.

Went to mount valin yesterday. rode about 70 miles and my drive coggs were skipping. Hit some big bumps but, nothing out of ordaire smile.gif Found my chassis was cracked around my chain case, drive coggs so misalinged it will not drive the track.

So, basiclly i learned that about 5 years and 6,000 hard miles on a 2003 mxzx 800 is all you can do with that sled. That,s what i came up with when trailering 2 hours back to the hotel.

So, if you want to run with XP's and you have a 4+ year old Rev, you may want to rethink your pace.

Or, rent a honda fit for $35.00 and go look at some new XP's or maybe a nitro at the dealers like me !!!!!!!

Oh, did anyone noticed that one of the areas were ski-doo claimed they 'added' strength on the XP's was the chaincase. Well, i did not think much about it then but, i understand now that they knew there was a weak area in the rev and i found it. Take a look for yourself. A much better design, for a reason.

Know anyone selling a XP 800R ??

Ever operate windows in french ???

Bummer! It was REALLY bumpy the first time that we went last year, until they groomed the second or third day. After that is was great out in the wilderness, but bumpy again by the ski area in the afternoon.

Soory to hear about your sled. Can you fix it?

No, but if you point at a bagel at Tim Hortons, they'll put it in a bag for you smile.gif

Sorry to here the long haul did not pay off. We did not make it all the way. We decided to go to St-Zenon instead (Cabanon) they had 200km of trails open. Conditions we O.K. not great just O.K. But now I am glad we did not travel the 11 hours to chicoutimi. It's only 3.5 hours to St-zenon for me.

And Yes, I operate window's in french everyday. But again, I live in La belle Province. laugh.gif

Mmmmmm. Bagel.
