Hey, does anybody know the deal about the Formula Plus EFI of the early 90's? I heard that Ski-Doo ended up recalling them all and replacing them with carbs. Just curious if anyone knows if this is true (and why), or better yet, where I might be able to find one.

I don't know a lot about them, but I do have a little info.
I have seen a couple for sale, but there aren't a lot around. I bought a 1993 Formula Plus without an engine and parted it out about a year ago. about half way through parting it out I found out that it was probably an EFI sled. The wiring was different, but the biggest thing that was different was the Red seat. I wish now I had kept it. but I was young and stupid, still am. lol

Yes, they did make them one year-I believe it was a Bosch EFI system that did NOT work well. They were recalled and carbs fitted to them. There are a few out there (very few) that still have the EFI and apparently still working. I have seen 2 on E bay. I would suspect they will be quite desireable in the future. They did have a red seat, otherwise not really any difference in appearance.
