Hey Mark. There are not a lot of trails here but if there is decent snow cover you can combine trails and back road riding to put some miles on. We have the Greenway trail that is an old railroad bed that has connecting trails off of it. Of course there are the local watering hole stops to go along with riding otherwise the ride would go quick. PM me if you are interested in coming out, that is if we get any snow. Right now everything is green.

PWRMAKER thanks for the invite. I will definatly keep it in mind. Your probably about 2 hr.s away but its worth it for and day of playing. All we do around here is ride the roads or ditches, and its not worth tearing up a $9,k sled. Its pretty disappointing that we dish out $7 or $8 every three years for what. The state does NOTHING to help our sport. Well I guess its hard to promote a snow sport with out snow. But its still frustrating. Sorry for the venting. Rail to trails is a great project and Ohio needs more trails for quads, Dbikes, and sleds. Theres a lot of good tax money to be had and not to mention jobs for making trails. Yes theres alot of volenteers in Mich. for the trails but there is also alot of paying jobs involved with it. Just wish Oh. would get on the band wagon with recreation. Why don't we just call it the couch potato state. Just my opinion.

Yea I know what you mean. The local club is the Grand River Trail Riders which I am a member of and has done a lot of work to get this Greenway trail going. I would like to see more involvement from the state too and I think they are starting to look into ways to promote the sport. There is talk of another rail bed the state wants to purchase for an atv trail. Since the state only allows sleds as the only motorized vehicles on the Greenway the atv'ers are trying to form a club and make some noise to get a place to ride. The Trail Riders were involved right from the start of the Greenway and that's how we can ride on it. I also know that the county is trying to get a trail connected off of the Greenway to Geneva on the Lake where the Lodge and Confrence center is located to promote business there. Right now though there is no snow which sucks for Feb. Hope I have shed a little light for you. Keep wishing for snow. One more thing I think you can check out a couple of web sites to get more info if you havn't already, www.ossa.com and www.grandrivertrailriders.com not positive on the trail riders web address

Harpersfield here Just South of Geneva...If any of you Guys from the west want to chip in for a 30x40 addition to my barn you can keep you sleds at my place and ride onto the trail system from my house just 2 miles South of the Geneva exit on Rt 90...I figure the addition is going to have to have a wet bar and maybe a hot tub...Hmmm, Flat screen on the wall, a couple stainless poles that go to the ceiling for entertainment. I think about 35 grand should do it. Let me know when the funds are rounded up and we'll break ground for next winter.
P.S. We got too much snow to ride in this weekend? 28" in 36 hours. We rode til 3a.m. Saturday night!WoW I haven't seen a blizzard like that since I was a kid...Not that I'm not still a kid!

Sounds good Zeek- I agree, The greenway is about as boring a trail as you can find. It has been good for that first break in ride to make sure the machines are running right. Soem have told me that there are a few really nice leaders off the Greenway but I have not been able to find them. Rode almost all the way Warren last year which was pretty cool. I would like to join you sometime a few exits down. I have a place in Chautauqua and we usually do a big ride in Canada once a year. PM me and we can trade email addresses etc...

I'm new to riding sleds, I went with my brother last year on a borrowed one and loved it. I bought Joe P's 600 in Conneaut/Monroe. I hope I don't have to travel this year when all the good snow hits.
