Someone must have been on the snowy range. Please post a report. I'm sure several of us will be out there in the next few day. How are the trails? Are they groomed? How is off trail riding? Snow depths TgC_emoticon142.gif
Please help.

Just got back from Laramie / snowy range. Rode weds and thursday. The snow is good with 2 to 3 foot most places. The groomer has never been down 1/2 of the trail system ( no sign of trail burms) It seems that the groomer goes to each lodge but no where else. The groomed trails are pretty torn up in the evenings but smooth the next morning at least out of Albany. The ungroomed trails seem Ok. The traffic was normal for Christmas week but the parking lot (albany) was full. They were calling for 2 foot of snow today but it seems that the storm is weaker than they expected.

We put 200 miles on trail while breaking in our new sleds and about 150 off trail between xmas and New Years.
Careful for the rocks off trail they sneek up on ya. My buddy has a MRI in 2 days from a little 2' rock under three' of snow. Shoulder came out of socket on the hit. Twisted his arm around for 10 min or more to pop it back in. I still cringe when I think about it popping back in place. Doc told him best case he could ride by middle of Feb. worse case 6 mo. I feel bad I talked him into going he never goes until the end of Jan. If the storm plays out this week like they say no more rocks with 4' or more new snow to add to the base in the hills. See ya there next weekend.

I was in Snowy Range January 17 through 19. Wow....first time and no problems. Trails were awesome though bumpy in spots at times. Nothing speed wouldn't overcome. We stayed at Wycolo. I usually sled in WI on MI so this was unprecidented. 1050 miles drive and no regrets. Trip of a lifetime.

They're suppose to get fresh snow starting today.

Enjoy! dance.gif
