Drove across Yellowknife Bay directly in front of Air Tindi to trail that leads into back end of Duck Lake. Overflow conditions and air holes throughout ponds and lakes. Use caution.
Drove around Yellowknife Bay to Dettah, then onto Duck Lake. Unknown ice thickness near Dettah, use extreme caution. Creek frozen over from Dettah into Duck Lake.
Duck Lake to Mason Lake to Jennejohn Lake: Trails in excellent condition, bad overflow conditions on lakes and ponds with airholes.
Jennejohn to Reid Lake: Did not make it - Made it 3 lakes/ponds past Jennejohn with similar conditions as above. Fourth lake encountered extreme overflow and open water, unsafe conditions due to marsh and water temperature and water current through area.
Jennejohn to Defeat Lake: Trails loaded with rocks and stumps, use caution. Lakes and ponds contain bad overflow conditions. Defeat Lake icy surfaced with unknown ice thickness.
