I just bought a new Triton Elite 2-place enclosed this past weekend and I'm trying to hunt down a spare tire for it. It is the larger tire option (20.5x10, load C). It is the 5 lug pattern @ 4.5". Thanks.

Best price I have seen is on Ebay here is the auction: Ebay TiresShipped to my place is about $82. They are load level E which is a higher ply tire meaning it should be tougher. If somebody else can beat this price let us know as I need a new tire for my trailer.

E rated tires ride like sh&% and will wear faster. You don't need E rated tires for a sled trailer.

I found C rated tires locally for $39 mounted and balanced.

Don't know that I could agree on the wear issue for Load Range E tires. I ran a set over 20,000 miles on my last trailer. I ran over 6,000 miles last year on mine and they look like new. Does the trailer bounce a little, maybe, but the torsion axle soaks it up pretty good and the trailer tows just fine (Triton Elite Top Cap with the 12 foot enclosure). Got my spare tire at the show to save on the shipping. I would get a Load Range C as your spare though, why spend the extra bucks for the tire to ride around?

Where are you finding a C rated tire for $39? Is it the carlisle garbage brand or a good name? All the C rated tires around here were going for the same price as the E rated I found on Ebay. I haven't noticed a single difference in my E-rated tires over my C tires. And they are wearing just fine.

The best price i've found so far on a C rated tire is at Dennis Kirk:

$46.99 Mounted, before shipping

Dennis Kirk Link

It comes on a white rim, mounted... not silver like the stock tires. But, for the purpose and price... who cares i guess. Even though i'd like to match! Just being picky...

Tireland USA a local tire company. I believe they are Duro trailer tires (used on nearly every large fifth wheel camper out there)

Kenda tires are often rated poorly for trailer tires. I'd stay away from them personally

Actually... now that I look at that link again, it doesnt come mounted on a rim. My bad. It's actually $93.99 mounted. Part# 55-0109 TgC_emoticon142.gif

I have a 12' Triton Elite with 2 axels and a Top Cap cover. Those E tires work well. I ran over a rear axel from some type of vehicle last year on I-75 at 75 mph, took a nice deep slice out of the tire and ran this tire for another 400 miles and no problem. If I were you for the price I wouldn't skimp here. You're talking 10 beers at the bar.
skooby
too bad you werent closer, i have 2 brand new ones i was trying to sell for$50 each.
