we come up the west side of the big horns and park near top,25 miles west of Bear Lodge, snow is usually better on that side of the horns

sounds good, so if i stay at bear lodge in dayton can i ride from the resort or should i trailer somewhere from there? looking for some flatland riding since the girlfriend is coming and she doesnt like the large climbing yet, im still working on it.
thanks again
Wyoming T/A
bear lodge is actually on top of the horns .20 miles or so from dayton, you can ride rite from the lodge 100's of miles of trails, great for family and you can jump off roads anywhere if you want to play in the powder, the road to lovell is closed about the 17 th of nov. it is a main road and snow permitting will be groomed smooth,
Sledneck9
nice. just keep us updated please.
thanks again

I've never been to the Big Horns, where would you recommend staying at and parking at to unload? I just moved to Rapid City SD so we'd be coming from the east on interstate 90.

I was also thinking of putting together a quick trip Thanksgiving weekend but not sure if I can get everyone together on such short notice. Even if not this weekend, the info would be great for future trips. Thanks.

Oh yeah I should mention that I've got a Renegade not a Summit, so keep that in mind as you point me in the right direction.

Me and a couple buddies are going to school in Rapid. One of em has some fam. in Gilette so when we go we usually meet up with them and head up to Bear Lodge. It's a pretty nice place to ride from there's lots of trails or messin around in the trees and hills whatever you prefer. Its only about 4 hours from Rapid so not too bad for a weekend trip. Here is their website Bear Lodge Resort

We are heading to the Jackson area next week, but maybe we should change our plans. Sure looks like the Horns are where I'd like to be or did other areas get some snow too?

Thanks for posting the picture, looks like fun (and a lot of work).

We need a snow report for the Medicine Bow area, we have a large group coming out March 3rd on the Mud and Snow express. Any reports on the Togwotee Pass we need that too, we are headed there Next. Check out or recent pics from Cooke City and numerous other crazy ventures at MomsMotorSports.Com
