X2. I was trying to be helpful with my opinion and some info based on my experience. Its funny how the guys that just bash and talk about everyones stupid opinions, They ARE the ones that after all is said and done take more of their time on earth than ANYBODY else to reply that everyone but them is stupid and has bad options. I have been on this site for some time and hardly ever post...just for the reason when you do, it turn into some big p$#%ing match. I am done.

On March 4, 1513 Juan Ponce de Leon set out from Puerto Rico in search of the mythical waters of Bimini to cure his impotence & aging... it has yet to be found to this day.

Ever since the 1st time that 2 guys with internal combustion powered contraptions decided to see which one was faster, guys have been searching for a particular magic mystery lubrcant that is the "ultimate" in wear protection and drag reduction... only to meet similar results.

You'll have just as much luck finding the legondary Fountain of Youth as you will convincing any reasonably sane engine-builder on the planet that any one particular brand of oil is any more than marginally better than another brand of similar type... and the plus & minus points are usually subjective & debateable anyway.

... again, anyone with any common sense at all MIGHT be able to deduce the reason for that.

Some learn from History... and some are doomed to repreat it.

This is barring contractual obligations of course... when Ashland Oil was paying me 5 figures, naturally I'd tell you nothing was better than Valvoline... and that was true actually to a certain extent... of course, the fact of the matter was (and is), nothing was any worse than Valvoline either. laugh.gif

Every once in a while lubricants get better... sure... but it's not long that any one formula is a big secret for very long... with the ability of labs to do chemical analysis these days, everyone knows what everyone else is up to... so it's a wash... the last big step forward was the advent of synthetics which ARE a proven improvement over mineral oils, in the 4-stroke world... the benefit of synthetics for 2-strokes is still a legitimately debateable point for a number of reasons... apples & oranges as it were.

Anyone that wants to say that "X Brand" of oil will make an engine last significantly longer than anyone elses brand of oil.... ESPECIALLY in a 2-stroke.... is full of s**t... End of Story.
Any idiot can publish anything on the Internet... and other idiots will believe it.

I use lamp oil, tends to smoke a little but has a really nice scent plus great on night rides,I just through
a wick in the oil container when we stop for a rest and we gather round and read the trail maps.

Been running Klotz in my last 5 Doo's. I like how it smells. I just bought some for my 600 SDI. I can't wait until it snows.
