dont you mean insert puller?..the mounting bolt will not pop the clutch off

Yes it will!!! i know from experience! You don't need a puller just use the mounting bolt.

I like the teflon and water idea. But... when testing in the field or on the lake, running water is hard to come by.
A QUALITY puller is a must.
Chris

I've got the Doo puller, but don't really trust it after hearing about all the broken ones online. Checked out your site but didn't see one on there. Do you sell one that's different?

Just grease it, put it in, tighten it, and if it doesn't pop off whack it (the puller) with a hammer a couple of times. It will scare the frack out of you when it releases!

I will try the water trick to see how it works. I've had nearly a hundred clutches off with my current doo puller, dab of grease on threads, dab of grease on tip. If you go in dry....well you know how that goes....never good. wink.gif Sometimes a really seized one comes along, then I add a bit of hammering to the puller and more grease on threads. Only had to do the hydraulic grease trick only once....it makes a mess, so that is the last resort for me.

That's the nice thing about water, no mess to clean up as it just evaporates. Hope you got that thing off by now??
