Hello thanks for reading. I have a 1996 summit 670 136" x 1.25" track. The motor has been rebuilt and everything on the sled is stock. My local riding is mostly heavy powder snow with no groomed trails and not many snowmobilers at all. So pretty much everytime I go out its either me or my friend, with the same sled, breaking trail. It does okay but not so well in the deeper powder, over a foot. My question is whether uprgades such as skiis and clutching and whatnot are going to be enough or am I just going to want to get a track extension. The reason I ask is because my rear arm needs parts and I'm wondering if I should fix it or just do the track extension. What do you think? Thanks
IMO I would go to 144 and 2" paddle and change your skis to simmons they hold the front end up alot better then stock skis. One of are ridding buddies here in MT has a 95 670 and this is what we did to his and he keeps up with us just fine in 3ft plus powder
