Shouldn't be too bad to install. Grab a set of sc4 brackets from doo. Remove old brackets and mount em in the correct location and go. Just need to know the center to center distance. Probably be a good idea to raise the front end up a bit as well, 17" or 17 1/2" ctc shocks would match nicely.

I think the only differenct between a 4 & a 3 is the 4 has no rubber stop blocks on the rear?
Also, dont forget you have to extend the tunnel.

The actual geometry of the suspension is different. More travel. Can't use piggyback shocks from the sc3 in the sc4 but can use them from the sc5. The sc3 is more rear shock driven while the sc4 is center shock driven which is more suited to rider forward sleds.

The first year rev chssis used the SC10 III and went right to the SC10 IIII the following year. I read in a few articles that the III wasn't well suited for the forward riding position sleds, which is why they went to the IIII
I would assume that the SC10 IIII wouldn't be great on our chassis but I've never personally tried.

sc4 didn't come out until X package of 05, and all revs in 06. The 05's had problems with the valving on the shocks so it wasn't the greatest. 05 Mach's had issues with it as well.

If your into the ditch banging riding style the sc4 will be a good fit with a decent set of shocks. A bad set of shocks, which really goes for any suspension, and you'll want to quit riding.

It shouldn't be too stiff unless the suspension was installed wrong. I am pretty sure those shocks, unless replaced were black body hydraulic throw aways. Far from a stiff shock.

i have the shock out put one end on the floor and all my weight on it and it moves maybe an inch it looks like the original i was told that its some sort of "air" shock and its normally that stiff but i dont see how or why so maybe i will need to find a new shock

Even with a stiff valving in a shock you should still be able to completely compress the shaft into the body by putting weight onto it. Sounds like there is something wrong with the shock itself.
