Why is it that there is a stigma attached to a 1.75 lug track and trail riding? I am pretty sure that I am not the first person to do this. I understand that there used to be alot of trouble with melting hyfax, but that is simply not the case now. Better hyfax tech, wheel kits, and scratchers all but eliminate meltdown. I have several buddies who ride older mtn sleds with 2" tracks and have no issues. As far as the windshield goes that's my personal opinion. I have already stated that I am not a mtn or freestyle rider, just a really tall guy who rides the trails and loves to play in the powder when I can find it.

x2. My buddy has summit xp that he rides on the trail with pretty much no problems. We ride both trail and off trail in the U.P. I think the backcountry would be perfect for our type of riding. His summit doesn't handle bad at all on the trail. He's going to replace the slides this year but they aren't that bad. we doo both off trail and on, and the backcountry is perfect for that

I ride my 154 summit X in Lower and upper MI. I try not to ride the trail, but as we all know, you have to to get to the good riding areas for boondocking.

A couple of my buddies have there new 10's and we are looking for snow. We are planning on heading to CO. in Dec. if there is not good snow in MI. Have room for 3 people if anyone wants to go.
