Planning a Big Bore kit with a head this summer would like some info from everyone on which is best.

I live in Vernon BC so Terra would be convenient but I have phoned and e-mailed with no response back....

Quality, reliability, jetting and fun factor. Running a DJ clutch kit would there be many changes

Thanks

Tom over at http://motsmachining.com/ has some pretty decent stuff. I have dealt with 4 dudes this winter past who're running some of Tom's stuff and/or Tom has gotten in and fixed up some present owner big bores. My clutching married to the bb you choose should be an easy tune.

(Terra Alps) I can't remember the owner's name but he might be out working a "real job" in the summer time like me. Difficult to get back to potential customers when the boss is out working in the oil patch. heh heh...

Most bang for your buck is a hi-comp head. After that...the big bore with proper porting. I will go on record and say as far as big bores go, I would NOT recommend the one I went with: Split Second. Not going to rehash the details (search will turn up much), suffice to say, it wasn't worth it.

That's normal procedure for your topic it seems. Unfortunate where that thread went.

Summertime is always the worst. Combination of extreme heat and no snow seems to make us crankier than normal.

I feel for DaveB and concur on the bang-for-buck comments. Head that works without too much grief off the start, married to some great clutching, gonna be hard not to have a smile on the face when flipping the throttle.

Not saying there is anything wrong with anybody else's BB kit but I would give Ted at Terra Alps a chance to respond to you. I have decided to go with the Terra Alps BB kit over the summer as well. He is around as I did talk to him a couple of weeks ago.
