holy crap... It needs that much octane ? I was thinking about getting my feet wet in one of these motors next winter but if you need that much octane ill pass .... you can't get away with less octane like Sunoco 110? its about a 1.50 cheaper here vs 117

We get our Sunoco race fuel from Fairgrove Oil. They are the rep for Michigan. Just outside of Bay City. Their pamphlet shows Maximal Red with 116 octane.
1-800-537-0215 and ask for Tom.

Just buy 110 and add octane boost (good stuff like amsoil or lucas though), it's a lot cheaper. I have friend running 800 and 600 trygstad mods that they run 110 with boost and have had no problems for many years, just jet a little fatter than the snocross set up for sure and don't keep it pinned for 10 minutes straight.
