I recently bought a 2002 salt lake city mxz 700 (same as heritage edition) and shortly there after covered it with royal distributings nylon covers that they had on sale at the snowmobile show in toronto. I left it on for exactly 7 days and this was the outcome. Theres no doubt that im "edit for bad language" off. Royal is looking into it but from as far as i can see the cover dye or coloring used has ran. The seat has soaked it up somehow and so far i have been unable to get it out. I have tried everything from lestoil, spot shot, orange hand cleaner, vim, dish soap. Nothing will take the colour out. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas i would greatly appreciate it.

Royal seems to think that bombardier had this happen to a stockpile of 09's that they had used the covers on and have said that it was a problem with the foam in the seat. I think they are trying to "edit for bad language" me so that they can put the onus on BRP. So i call Brp and they have heard nothing of the sort. So in short do not but nylon covers from royal distributing.

Obviously it's not a big deal, the seat still functions properly and it didn't rip or anything, but you need to keeping phoning and harrassing Royal until they give in, you need to atleast get a giftcard so you can put a riser set up on that thing cheers.gif

Ya definitly. I have been on the phone with both parties. in my mind its royal that should have to pay as it was there seat cover that marked it up. Im definitly going to be getting something out of the deal thats or sure. It would definitly hur tthe value of the sled too.

Id try carb cleaner, dont need to flood the seat with it just use a mist and a rag to see if it does any good.
